Hi, I’m Dave, and I’ve been building, fixing, and creating things for as long as I can remember.

​

My journey in construction started at just five years old, helping my great-grandfather in his woodshop. Honestly, I probably destroyed more than I built back then — but he let me, and that’s how I started learning the basics.

​

In high school, I picked up a summer job on a construction crew and fell in love with the work. By 18, I had started my own construction company, and over the past 20+ years, I’ve worked on thousands of projects — from large-scale commercial and institutional builds, working alongside engineers and architects, to detailed residential renovations and home improvements.

Why I Started East Coast Handyman​

​

As my main construction company grew, so did the overhead. Eventually, we couldn’t take on smaller jobs anymore — the kind of work many people really need done. I hated having to turn people away, but like most contractors, we had to charge higher rates just to cover costs. Small jobs couldn’t support that.

That’s when I came up with a better way.

This business is designed specifically to help people with small to medium-sized projects — repairs, upgrades, and custom work that usually fall through the cracks. We do that by sharing resources with my larger construction company:
